FAQs

1. What kind of photography do you specialize in?

I specialize in high-end food photography and videography for restaurants, chefs, and culinary brands. My work focuses on fine dining, gastronomic plating, and restaurant storytelling — capturing the essence of your cuisine and atmosphere with precision lighting, composition, and style.

2. Where are you based, and do you travel?

I’m based in Belgium and regularly work across Flanders and Brussels. I’m available for on-location shoots anywhere upon request.

3. How many photos do I receive?

  • Half-day shoot: around 60 fully edited photos

  • Full-day shoot: around 120 photos

All images are delivered in high resolution, optimized for both print and web, and ready to use on social media, your website, or press.

4. Do you also do video?

Yes. I offer short-form video tailored for social media (e.g., Reels) or cinematic restaurant videos for websites and campaigns.
Video work can be added to any photo shoot for an additional fee.

5. How are the photos delivered?

You’ll receive your images via Wetransfer where you can view, download, and share them easily.

6. Do I get full usage rights for the images?

Yes. You receive broad commercial usage rights for your restaurant’s marketing, website, and social media.
If you plan to use the photos for third-party advertising (e.g. with brands, suppliers, or media partners), please contact me to arrange extended licensing.

7. How should I prepare for a shoot?

Before every shoot, we discuss:

  • Your menu or seasonal dishes to photograph

  • Desired look & mood (e.g., bright & natural vs. dark & moody)

  • Timing (to align with kitchen service and light conditions)

8. Can you help with social media visuals or content strategy?

Yes — many of my clients work with me monthly to keep their visual content fresh. I can help create consistent visuals for social media, advise on posting rhythm, and ensure your brand’s aesthetic remains cohesive across all platforms.

9. What happens if the weather or light isn’t ideal?

I work with professional studio lighting, which allows for full control regardless of natural light conditions. Your photos will always have the intended atmosphere and quality — rain or shine.

10. How far in advance should I book?

For restaurant shoots, I recommend booking 4-6 weeks in advance.
Seasonal or holiday periods (like summer or December) tend to fill up quickly.

11. How do I choose which dishes to photograph?

I usually recommend selecting dishes from three key categories:

  • Best-sellers — the dishes your guests already love and that define your restaurant.

  • Visually striking items — plates that naturally stand out and elevate your brand visually.

  • Underperforming dishes — items that could use stronger visuals to attract more orders.

By combining these three, you ensure your photoshoot delivers both visual appeal and real business impact.
